How to choose the most suitable mug transfer method?

You can see the principle of mug heat – transfer from two types of mug heat – transfer machines. We’ll introduce 2 mug heat – transfer machines to show the principle and help you start quickly.

Two methods for printing mugs

I. Mug heat – sublimation transfer

When using a mug heat – sublimation transfer machine, first print a transfer paper with heat – sublimation ink, and then put it into the mug heat – transfer machine for heating and pressurization, so that the ink with the pattern sublimes and transfers onto the mug.
The quantity will limit the use of a general mug heat – transfer machine, because a general mug heat – transfer machine has only one set of molds. You can choose Hybons’ 2 – in – 1 mug machine to heat – transfer two mugs at the same time. In addition, the size of the mug must also match the mold. You can use Hybons’ 5 – in – 1 mug heat – transfer machine, which provides five different molds for easy adjustment.

II. 3D vacuum machine

The principle of vacuum suction enables the 3D vacuum machine to make the heating and pressurization effects better and faster, so that the 3D vacuum machine can transfer the pattern onto the mug more smoothly. The 3D vacuum machine has no mold restrictions and can put up to 12 mugs at the same time for mug heat – transfer. Both the effect and efficiency are better than those of a general mug heat – transfer machine!

Three steps for printing mugs

1. Pattern making

Draw or search for a satisfactory pattern in a graphics software, measure the size of the selected mug, and edit the picture file to the size for mug printing. It is recommended to select high – definition and high – resolution pictures to obtain a better printing effect.

2. Paper output

After editing the file according to the mug transfer teaching steps, print the picture file on transfer paper. Use heat – sublimation special ink for mirror printing. Cut off the redundant edges of the printed paper and compare and confirm the mug transfer position again.

3. Heating and printing

Fix the printed and cut transfer paper on the mug with heat – resistant tape.
Put it into the “cup heater” of the mug transfer machine and tighten the knob. Set 300 degrees for 180 seconds on the operation panel. Wait for the instrument to finish heating. This is the last step of the mug transfer teaching. You can tear off the transfer paper and check the printing result.

Four precautions for printing mugs

1. Ink sticking at the paper edge

When you print mugs by yourself, if you haven’t cut off the redundant blank edges of the transfer paper, the printer rollers often get ink on the edges of the paper when it passes through. However, the ink on the paper is not obvious, and you often ignore it after completing the printing. When you transfer the image onto the mug, you will find black spots or lines on the mug, because the uncut redundant edges of the paper cause this problem. Therefore, when you print the picture file, be sure to cut off the blank areas without patterns. And before sending the transfer paper to the transfer machine for heating, carefully check whether its edges are stained with ink to avoid printing defects.

2. Uneven coloring

When printing, the actual color is of primary importance. If the color of the drawn picture is relatively dark, the heating time can be increased by 15 – 30 seconds as appropriate during transfer, so that the image on the transfer paper can adhere better to the edge of the cup and make the coloring more uniform and beautiful.

3. Blurring and double – imaging

If you don’t attach the transfer paper tightly to the cup at high temperature and it shakes during the transfer process, the shaking may blur the pattern on the cup like watercolor painting getting wet, or cause a “double – imaging phenomenon” of overlapping images.

To avoid this phenomenon, we recommend that you confirm that you fix the transfer paper at high temperature. When you tear off the transfer paper after heating, don’t shake it too much or tear it too slowly, so that you can make the image stably color on the mug.

4. Cup cracking due to temperature difference

Generally, we use a 2 – in – 1 or 5 – in – 1 mug transfer machine to save time and space, and transfer 2 – 5 mugs at the same time. When printing mugs, we usually prepare a bucket full of cold water to quickly package after printing is completed. When we transfer the cup, we will put it into the bucket to cool down.

At this time, we recommend quickly putting the cup into the water. If we wash it under a faucet or slowly put it into the bucket, the handle may break or the cup body may crack due to the high – low temperature difference. For safety reasons, we recommend letting it cool down slowly in the air. If there is time pressure, we should complete the cooling quickly at one time as described above to reduce the risk of danger.

What are the choices of mug transfer machines?

1. The seventh – generation mug machine

If you are a SOHO or have a personal studio, and you don’t sell mugs as the main products, and the quantity of each pattern you need to print is not large, you can choose the entry – level seventh – generation mug heat – transfer machine.
This model is fully manual operation and is equipped with a fixed handle, so there is no need to worry about inaccurate printing positions. Although it is small in size, the printing range is also 8×20 cm. In addition, the low price threshold is its biggest feature. Although it is affordable, the necessary sturdy materials, anti – rust and anti – scratch treatments are all in place, making it a very easy – to – use model.

2. Electric mug heat – sublimation transfer machine

If you worry that the fully manual mug transfer machine will affect the printing speed, you can consider another ideal option for mug transfer machine selection: the electric mug heat – transfer machine.
The semi – automatic operation design can speed up the printing speed and reduce the time for proofreading. The printing position of each heat – transfer is also more accurate, saving time and effort. In addition, this electric mug heat – transfer machine weighs only 4.8 kg, is light and does not take up space. It also has digital temperature and time settings, as well as automatic alarm safety reminders, which is suitable for schools to print souvenirs or use as teaching materials for students.

3. 2 – in – 1 mug machine

It is believed that when choosing a mug transfer machine, many people will pay attention to the printing efficiency. Therefore, Hybons has specially developed a 2 – in – 1 mug machine with a production capacity twice as much at the same time. The high – efficiency and fast – printing design is the first choice for the cultural and creative industry. With this model, we can save labor and make the work more efficient since we need to sell the characteristic products of our own industry for a long time.

4. 5 – in – 1 mug heat – sublimation transfer machine

Because “customization” is a new trend in entrepreneurship, Hybons has specially launched a 5 – in – 1 multifunctional mug heat – transfer machine that supports 2 types of mug shapes and 5 sizes of mugs
It is suitable for heat – sublimation transfer of round mugs and conical latte cups, and provides electronic controllers and quick – connection conversion of heating pads. When changing the cup body, you only need one screwdriver to loosen 5 screws to quickly replace the heating plate, reducing the printing time cost. We highly recommend it for the customized gift industry as a production machine for mug products
